Meet Chef Cris Castillo
Born and raised in the vibrant borough of Bronx, New York, Chef Cris’s culinary journey began as a childhood fascination with flavors and the art of cooking. His passion grew for food even more when he worked at Sodexo Marriott at Pace University as a Sous Chef before undertaking other pivotal roles in his career. Over the years, he honed his skills working in various restaurants, and hospital dietary departments, but it was his unwavering dedication that truly set him apart. A self-taught chef, Chef Cris’s remarkable journey includes significant roles such as Sous Chef at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center and later as Chef/Purchasing Manager at Montefiore Medical Center.
With over two decades of experience in the food industry and hospitality, Chef Cris stands as a seasoned expert in his field. Alongside his role as a Corporate Food Service Director in New York, he passionately manages his family-owned Catering Business in Connecticut, a venture he holds close to his heart.

With a profound love for his spouse four children and three grandsons, he cherishes the precious time spent together. Outside of his culinary pursuits, Chef Cris derives immense joy from immersing himself in nature through activities such as hiking, exploring new dining experiences, indulging in swimming, and adventures. Alongside these passions, Chef Cris is a fan of football and basketball, displaying an unwavering enthusiasm for these sports. However, it is the moments shared with his beloved family that truly hold the utmost significance in Chef Cris’s Life.
